Self catering cottage near the Outdoor Capital of the UK, Fort William |
COVID-19 Notice (updated 12/10/20):
At Glencaig Cottage, we have implemented Government and industry guidelines in relation to COVID. We have undertaken a risk-assessment of the cottage and will follow a cleaning and disinfection checklist before and after each guest on top of our normal cleaning procedures. In doing this we have incorporated guidelines given by the Scottish Government and the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers as well as complying with the "We're Good to Go" industry standard devised by the four national tourist organisations of the United Kingdom. Copies of our risk assessment and cleaning checklists will be provided for guests at the cottage but we're happy to provide this in advance and to prospective guests upon request. |

Setting:Stronaba Croft sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the view from the cottage front window takes the eye across the croft fields to small hillocks beyond and then to the tall Loch Lochy mountains. The entrance to Glean Cia-aig, a steep sided valley above the Dark Mile can be seen as a low point in these distant mountains and gives the cottage its name.
A short walk down the croft will reward the guest with spectacular views towards the north face of Ben Nevis and its high neighbours. The Fort William area is linked with some of the most significant, and darkest points, in Scottish history. Lochaber has some of the highest mountains, including Ben Nevis, and the access points to some of our biggest wilderness areas. More recently skiing and mountain biking at Nevis Range have become big attractions. Fort William's claim to the Outdoor Capital title is fitting and Glencaig Self Catering Holiday Cottage is ideally located to enjoy it all.
